God's Work,

Our hands

As People of God, we take great joy in improving the community and providing support to our sisters and brothers in need. Saint Nicholas Lutheran Church regularly supports programs such as Project Echo, Adopt-a-Highway, Calvert Churches Community Food Pantry, Christmas in April, Tree of Angels, and many other worthy ventures.

Many hands make light work. We can accomplish much more as a group than we can individually. If God is calling to you to help our community, contact our office administrator who will put you in touch with the ministry leader in charge.

Enjoying God

Being People of God is not "all work and no play." At Saint Nicholas, we believe in Enjoying God which means enjoying the People of God. Monthly gatherings are organized for our Lunch Bunch and our Taste Buds groups.

Our annual festivities include Oktoberfest, Cupid's Cafe, the Palm Sunday Concert, the Advent Concert, and the Chili Cook-off.

The men of Saint Nicholas are encouraged to join our softball team that plays from April to August.

Gather with your fellow Christians to study and pray during our Adult Bible School sessions. Whatever your interests, there is a place for everyone at Saint Nicholas.

2017 softball team

Saint Nicholas has entered a team in the Calvert County Christian Men’s Softball League every year starting in 1994.  Only four churches currently in the league have a longer tradition of church softball than Saint Nicholas.

Oktoberfest

Our first annual Oktoberfest was an excellent mix of fellowship and outreach. We enjoyed live music provided by Run Catch Rain, seasonal brews, Running Hare Riesling, games for kids and adults including a masskrugstemmen competition, craft vendors, silent auction, 50/50 raffle, and most importantly experiencing community.
